I finally finished Taiyo's route. Yes, that obnoxious yet adorable golden retriever. Oh it's simple as to why I call him obnoxious. He's SUPER LOUD. And rather dumb. I've never heard of anyone insulting another person with the word "Hamburger!". He constantly uses the wrong syllables which of course in Japanese, it either changes the meaning of the word he intended to use OR invents a completely new word. For example, "mikata" gets changed to "mitaka" by this idiot. "Mikata" means comrade. "Mitaka"? To hell if I know.
But still, Taiyo's still cute. Think... "golden retriever"
There're two Taiyos?
Awful edits done completely for fun.
His climax scene was the most interesting among all the routes I've played so far. Bursting in right in the middle of a dangerous situation and saying cheesy heroic lines is somewhat admirable from an idiot like him. But that's the end of his coolness. The speech to the enemy is AWFUL and EMBARRASSING to even listen to. He actually says it out LOUDLY and FIRMLY too. Asuka may feel thrilled and awed by the fact that Taiyo came to save him but as the player, I facepalm.jpg at almost every single line directed at Gregory Hawk. Oops, spoiler!
Taiyo's an obnoxious character at first. He jumps around. YES. JUMPS. Okay, not jump. Perhaps bounce around. He does that a lot when he gets excited. And he gets excited a lot. Safe to say that he's the hyper character. It's not exactly nice to classify people, I know, but for his case, it's too glaringly obvious till the point where you try to turn away, it grabs you by the collar and yells "CALL ME HAIPAAAAAAA TYPE!". A good portion of my sanity was wasted down on this route.
You can ask why is an idiot like him is in such a kick-ass school. You can try. And you'll get answers for sure. The idiot loves driving. He's pretty good at it. A professional. Okay, not at a pro's level but he sure is reaching that. In the game, he drives/rides a van, motorcycle, speedboat and... what's that thing he had to drive in Jadid? Someone please enlighten me. I don't quite remember what was the last vehicle. Oh, Taiyo's good in body language too apparently. He's downright honest and sincere. He's pretty much straight forward too. And.. that should end all the good traits, eh?
He can be insensitive at times, much like a kid. Yes, Taiyo's like an overgrown child through the game. Very simple minded too. In truth, Team Griff(?) can't really stand him. Hiro openly shows his dislike. They're like cats and dogs. Even Dio, the person Taiyo calls "aniki" [KAMINAAAAAAAAA!!] chides him from time to time. Matori and Kiryuu obviously look at him as an idiot. Kei doesn't have thoughts. Ryoichi... Well, he looks as Taiyo as a kid. Poor golden retirever ;_;
There's even a scene in Ryoichi's route where everyone but Taiyo and Kei (lol antisocial) is cooking a meal. At the end of it, Ryoichi tells Asuka to keep mum about it from Golden Retriever. Hiro continues to add that Golden Retriever has a huge appetite and will probably eat everything up before the team does. True. Taiyo's a glutton. But he prefers Japanese food more than anything though its still believed that he'll wallop food no matter what. Taiyo did mention that he and his brother yell their lungs out at each other while throwing stuff around when they're arguing. Good luck, Asuka. You have an soon-to-be-abusive husbando in future. But it's okay, it's doubtful if Taiyo'll even have the heart to slap his waifu or not.
But he's not really an insensitive person, seriously. Since he's the driver, all he can do is wait, wait, wait and wait for the others to return from the mission. He mentions that he feels anxious as he never knows what's going on until the others come back. He's often afraid that no one makes it back. Unlike Ryoichi or Kiryuu who're normally giving commands and receiving reports, Taiyo often has to wait elsewhere at a pick up point alone, I think. Yup, he's family guy for sure. And so, obviously, Taiyo's route deals with Asuka's daddy issues. Literally.
It was mentioned that Asuka's dad works as a curator. But in Jadid, Asuka spots his dad in the crowd and chases him. Asuka finds out that daddy's a Manuspica and gets upset because he thinks that daddy's been deceiving Asuka and mommy. During the last mission, daddy appears to be working for Gregory Hawk (the bad guy of the game who deserted the Manuspica post and is a mafia head. He's currently after the jewels of the lost nation [Think Aztec or Atlantis]. It's locked behind a door which requires a "key". Hawks has three keys but only one is real. If the wrong key is inserted, the place would collapse or something. As known, Asuka has the ability called "True Eyes" which allows him to.. see the truth lol. Asuka's daddy's infiltrating Hawk's group as part of a mission but Asuka doesn't know) ! Asuka's confused desu!. There's an option to trust daddy or not (this happens before Hawks tries to get Asuka to identify the real key) . Of course, following the good ending, I selected "Trust". And what do you know? Taiyo comes bursting in and saying all the heroic lines (refer to first paragraph). The other Manuspica's arrive in the nick of time before anyone dies. And then Asuka's daddy confesses the truth. He's BOTH a curator AND a Manuspica. Did I get it wrong? o.o Taiyo goes on to say stuff like "See! Your dad obviously cares for you!". Yay Taiyo, yay. Your words of advice saved Asuka from the bad ending.
The reason why I'm not talking about the earlier parts is because they're almost the same as Ryo-nii's in terms of missions. As for the events, it's also almost similar. I'm not good at summarizing routes. What I had intended to do here was bitch about Taiyo which I've just finished.
