random love?

Just finished Cappuccino by Yoshizumi Wataru (famed for her series Marmalade Boy I'm guessing). A sweet story in the beginning, but everything turned bitter towards the middle. The main character, Airi, was superbly strong. She knew of the affair concerning her live-in boyfriend but she never said anything. Seriously, it's gotta hurt like hell for her. She lived with him, Sousuke, for a year and a half, with hopes of actually getting married later on down the road. Does love really hurt that much? Is it safe to say happiness in love is all simply bullshit? Most of her works concern the pain of breaking up, the pain of finding new love, moving on from the past and so forth... Oh, and the other girl, which I REFUSE to remember her name, is a fucked up bitch. Caution, you might smack anything by your side when you read the manga. One smack for the bitch she's being, another slap for Sousuke for actually thinking it's okay to cheat on Airi, because it's only "once in a while". Man, Airi's got really sharp woman's intuition there.

Now, after reading the manga, I really question the word "Love". What does it truly mean? I don't enjoy telling the world about my exes, but it's possible to say that out of about seven of them...

  • Well, a short summary would be that the first guy was sweet, but I guess he was only playing around with me.

  • The second guy was genuine, the best guy a girl could ever get, but well, I was stupid enough to let him go.

  • The third guy is a pervert (sorry) which I took almost two years to forgive and try to forget everything that happened between us.

  • Fourth and fifth guy can go die in hell.

  • Sixth was well, things are complicated.

  • Don't even try to get me started on the last one. I've been controlling my temper to not snap at him when he was in my house for an event last weekend. Seriously, if I could do it, I would've already stabbed him to death for all the pain he caused me, and the bitter bitch he turned me into.

I've already told myself to not go for another guy after my fifth ex but I was stupid enough to continue accepting. Worse of all, I actually pursued the seventh. I regret, I regret, with all my heart and soul.

So what exactly is love? It's meant to be some pink fluffy cloud of happiness made out of cotton candy where angels will crowd around you and sing glorious blessings with tranquil melodies from their harps! Epic! Sorry to burst your bubble, it doesn't exist. Love, has it's ups and downs. Assuming you still want to stick with the "no! it's a cloud theory!", let me adjust it for you. Ups and downs, are just like those clouds getting holes in them, and then you fall through. Goodbye fantasy love! Come on, even otome / BL games are breaking down sweet passionate dreams! Or maybe it's just the games I chose to play....

LuckyDog1

Serious shit. One wrong move and it's "bai bai!" for you. I haven't finished the game yet sadly, only Fiore's and Bernardo's route. Okay, okay! I admit it! I played their routes half assedly because I was curious to see if the two routes would have similar storylines where you just change your partner and there! You have your new route. Tennenouji, I'll never misjudge your games ever.

Okay, basically, the one I recall the most from Bernardo's route is that you HAVE to pay attention to what he says. At one point he mentioned something about always picking right because it's his gut instincts or something. Yes, this comes out in the climax where you have to save him because he's being held hostage somewhere. There'll be two options at that time. To open the left door, or the right one. Open the left, you meet Bernardo straight, and then right to your bad ending where he dies and Gian gets buttfucked by almost every baddie in the opposing mafia family (ouch >_<). Pick right, and well, everything goes right!

A love crisis in Don Ortolani's (Bernardo) route is that he's in love with Nastasha and Gian at the same time. Something complicated. Basically, there's this guy Dave who keeps harrassing Nastasha. She complains to Bernardo but he can't do much because Dave helped him once before. In some point of the game, Dave is killed by Bernardo. No, before you go around yelling that Bernardo bit the hand that helped him, play the game first. There's too much to write and I don't intend to make this a pure fangirl post for LuckyDog1.

Kichiku Megane / R

Yes, another game with serious shit too. Remember kids, don't ever accept glasses from a
certain blonde man less you wish to turn into an S and uh... .... Rape your... collegues.. It's a game that revolves around salaryman Katsuya Saeki. No, he does not go to magical land to get the "magical glasses". What these glasses do is well, bring out his alter-ego. Fuck, up until now, and it will always be this way, I could only love Normal! Katsuya. He's adorable alright. Megane! Katsuya, on the other hand... Puts the "S" and "M" together. But well, after he's done doing that, it seems that he turns into a slightly... SLIGHTLY sweeter guy. I haven't tested Megane! Katsuya but from the bits and pieces of him that come out during Normal! Katsuya's route, you get a rough gist of his charater. As for the endings, I took a sneak peak into the CG packs.

Enough with the blabbering, here's the real deal.

For one of the routes, Normal! Katsuya gets sexually harrassed. This is a case of "love-thy-rapist!". Yeah, you get it. I'm not gonna elaborate.

Another route for Normal! Katsuya would be his best friend coming on him, and then Normal! Katsuya will go like "oh nooooo diz not right desu!!" but who the fuck cares in the end -,-

Another route, something similar, but uhh... this guy is the grandson of the yakuza.... So well, you would also get it.

Fucked up love.

(Dammit Hirakawa Daisuke, stop making me nosebleed! Do you have me to make your characters sound like....... *nosebleed*)

Apparently, I do suck in blogging so well, I leave it here for tonight. Now if you'll excuse me, I have routes to complete and extras to listen to.
