Spring Anime 2010 so far...

I've already talked about Hakuouki in my previous post. Moving on to the other anime I've watched for this season so far...

Kaicho wa Maid-sama!

Okay, I flipped open my newspaper and saw Misaki's SUPER FUCKING LOW RES picture and I slammed it shut.
Episode 1 wasn't as nice as I'd expect it would be. Quite a let down. No, you can't salvage it with a hot Usui-kun themed ending. The OP didn't have any fresh elements to it. Honestly, I didn't quite like Misaki's voice. I found it annoying. Why, Misaki, why?!

The animation seems a little.. plain. I don't quite like the backgrounds. Ah.. this must've been the effect of Kimi ni Todoke to me... And the events didn't really seem to have an effect. The scenes that were meant to make you go "doki doki!" didn't have an effect, except for the ending. Too fast paced. Slow down, slow down! The manga was way better!

Working!!

Lol, actually, I watched the special airing few weeks ago. Why? Ono Daisuke! :3 But it's quite a hilarious show with a guy who introduces something called.. "Minicon" rather than the usual "Lolicon". I'm absolutely latching onto this! I wish I could eat at Wagnaria someday and meet its awesome staff ;_;

Tales of Symphonia Tethe 'alla Arc

Animation's good and fluid. Everything's good. The ending's totally lovable! In this episode, you meet Zelos and safe to say, almost the entire cast. Kruxis has shed a little more light here. And Angels wear clothes that resemble bondage suits. I'm talking bout you, Kratos. He has numerous doujins/fanart where he's only in his.... Oops! ~♥ Oh, wait, I forgot about this dude called "Yggdrasil". He looks like a total wuss, like an uke BUT has a fukken DEEEP voice. You scare me. I'm happy that Llyod isn't slugging around and actually doing something. Collete's like an alarm in this episode. Zelos resembles a pimp. Sheena's quite cute here. Genius and Presia look adorable. Raine doesn't have much action in this episode. And I'm actually rather excited to see Regal's story get animated after I read it in the manga. His fashion sense is quack though.

Angel Beats

Hm, where do I start? I like the idea, and the art. I love the blood. I love the stupid trap. This show has something against carbuncles. Seriously. And this show definitely has issues with God. But then again there's something wrong. Just where the hell do you find angels that stab you just to confirm that you're in the realm of the dead? Why are all of the dead high-schoolers? Where the hell did they get the firearms from? Why does it feel like it's Haruhi talking sometimes instead of Yuri? Why the hell was there a concert outta nowhere? Okay, the concert's normal by now, no thanks to K-On! and Suzumiya Haruhi. But seriously, be a little logic. If you have a fan strong enough to "lift" the canteen tickets, won't the skirts of the female students fly too? Won't there be pantsu everywhere? Do you seriously think that the guys wouldn't care? Oh wait. This is anime. Oops.

B Gata H Kei

Who the hell gets scared of a ch*nko when they're so desperate to lose their virginity and have 100 sex buddies?
Yamada.
The girl is seriously a retard.
Enough said.

Senkou no Night Raid
Atrocious Mandarin accents. But hey, I bet Yoshino Hiroyuki (Toudou Heisuke from Hakuouki) did his best, right? Namikawa Daisuke seemed a little natural, probably because he didn't have that many Mandarin lines to say.

Accents aside, this show is rather interesting. Their abilities are kinda cool, to be honest. Mood's quite dark and serious. Animation's fluid. The CG wasn't awful like Bantorra's. Definitely worth a watch.
